Please help us enhance member experience and reach more people

Support us

We are profoundly thankful to all our supporters and volunteers. Every contribution, regardless of its size or form, makes a significant difference to our members.

Until now, our fundraising efforts have primarily focused on bringing in additional equipment and facilitating both onsite and offsite activities. However, while continuing to match fund our National Lottery Grant, we’re nearing full capacity at our current venue and therefore expanding our fundraising efforts towards securing a new location with Our latest home from home campaign. This expansion will enable us to not only better serve our current members but also extend our reach to more adults with learning difficulties and neurodiversity that need our support.

Beyond supporting our campaigns and raising our profile by engaging with social media (@keytojoycharity), there are a number of ways you can get involved or show your support . . .

The Big Give Christmas Challenge!

Donations 3-10 December will make double the difference!

Key to joy are part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge this year, and better yet we’ve secured The Hampshire Cricket Foundation as our champion funder. Very exciting! This means if we make our target, alongside our pledge, all donations will be doubled!

Collaborate or facilitate activities for our members

We continually seek to diversify the activities offered to our members. If you have a skill you’d like to contribute, we’d love to hear from you.

There are a range of areas we cover that require more support, these include:

  • Environment Club

  • Life Skills Club

  • Games Club

You can support members on specific days and or times onsite, on the following:

  • Mondays 09:00 - 12:30 | 12:30 - 15:00 (or leave in time for the school run)

  • Tuesdays 09:00 - 12:30 | 12:30 - 15:00 (or leave in time for the school run)

  • Wednesdays 09:00 - 12:30 | 12:30 - 15:00 (or leave in time for the school run)

Alternatively, please let us know if you have any offsite activities that our members would enjoy, or a venue that we could use for a variety of events we run to entertain members. To learn more about our current volunteers or to get in touch, use the links provided below.

Volunteer

We are always keen to hear from potential volunteers who would like to support a local community based charity. There are several ways you can get involved, which includes:

  • Flexible options - summer holidays, once a fortnight or ad-hoc for workshops

  • Project based - support the Trustees with a strategic task or specific campaign

  • Activity based - bringing your talents or skills to the table for our members

  • Expertise and advice - being a speaker for our carers hub or our staff

  • Media and marketing - helping us generate content or raising our profile.

Come along to our comedy night

Sunday 8th December | Fareham Social Club

To help raise funds for the Big Give Christmas Challenge we have a wonderful night of comedy planned for Sunday 8 December at the Fareham Social Club. Over 50% of the comedians are neurodivergent, which we absolutely love and they are really are top notch acts. Including Paul McCaffrey (BBC Radio 2) and Joe Wells, a local Portsmouth comedian who also runs a neurodivergent podcast. Follow the link to learn more.

If you can’t go, please let us know if you can donate a raffle prize for the night!

Sponsor us

Our National Lottery Community Fund match-funded grant will only last so long, so we’re keen to find new fundraising partners and sponsors to ensure the longevity of the charity and bring the best continued quality of service and support to our members.
