We’re part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024!
Big Give Christmas Challenge
Key to joy are part of the BigGive Christmas Challenge this year, and better yet we’ve secured The Hampshire Cricket Foundation as our champion funder.
Very exciting! This means if we make our target, alongside our pledge, all donations will be doubled! The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK's biggest collaborative fundraising campaign, championing a wide range of charitable organisations. So, this is really exciting for our continued ambitions for growth as a charity to be involved.
The campaign we’re running is to raise funds for a new home from home. A larger full-time premises that would enhance member experience and enable us to support more adults with learning difficulties, neurodiversity, mental health challenges and SEN.

What’s happening?
Members Sponsored Rowing - Gosport to Isle of Wight
To help with fundraising for the Big Give Christmas Challenge, our members came up with the idea to do indoor sponsored rowing. The challenge? Row from Gosport to Isle of Wight in 3-days. We'll be gathering at the hut, with our donated rowing machine, to undertake the challenge on Tues 3rd Dec, Weds 4th and Monday 9th December. There will be plenty of updates on Facebook and Instagram, and members have sponsorship forms to gather donations. Please show your support with a donation on the Big Give platform, alternatively If you'd like to sponsor a member directly, please contact Michaela at activities@keytojoy.org.
Christmas Carols - Singing and Signing in Fareham Town
On Saturday 7th December between 10am and 1pm, we'll be gathering with the members at the Fareham Town Performance Podium to sing and sign Christmas songs. We're also bringing along our craft stall, which will have plenty of lovely Christmas gifts and trinkets made by members, available to purchase. We will have collection buckets and a tablet to enable donations for our Big Give Christmas Challenge, which is running between 3rd - 10th December. Even if you can't donate, please come along to show your support and share photos and footage on your social media to help reach more people.
Charity Comedy Night -
Funny Minds (don’t think alike)
To help raise funds for the Big Give Christmas Challenge we have a wonderful night of comedy planned for Sunday 8 December at the Fareham Social Club. Over 50% of the comedians are neurodivergent, which we absolutely love and they are really are top notch acts. Including Paul McCaffrey (BBC Radio 2) and Joe Wells, a local Portsmouth comedian who also runs a neurodivergent podcast. There will also be a great raffle with some fantastic prizes! Tickets on sale from 3rd December, more info below.

What we need from you

Please add your email to join our mailing list below.
What else can you do?
Like, share, comment
Like, share and comment on social media posts to help us reach more people before and during the campaign.
Attend our events
We will be running various events and activities during the campaign, please come along and get involved.
Raise funds
You can host your own coffee morning, sponsored activity or stalls. Please contact us if you need support or our presence.
Why is a new
venue important?
As it stands, our small shared venue, the Scout Hut, is near capacity for membership and only available three days a week. This means:
We are restricted on the number or type of activities we can provide
There’s limited storage facilities for equipment and resources
Little autonomy on how we use the space
Lack of control on the environment to improve health and safety required
Donate during Big Give (3-10 Dec 2024)
